China Airlines designates this year as the “Year of Employees”  Sun Hongxiang: One-month salary bonus to be issued in March

China Airlines Group held its annual group banquet today (20th). Chairman Sun Hongxiang stated that this year (2015) will be designated as the Year of Employees, with plans to issue employees an additional month’s salary in March, and a commitment to better address employee needs.

Sun Hongxiang said that due to past differing opinions among employees, China Airlines Group has designated this year as the Year of Employees. The company will strengthen communication, involve employees more, improve the work environment, and provide better development opportunities and overall benefits. “We hope employees will feel the difference,” Sun said. He added that the first two months of operations have performed well, and in March, all China Airlines employees will receive an additional month’s salary.

Regarding China Airlines’ outlook for this year, Sun Hongxiang said that moving forward, the company will continue to collaborate with Chen Ruixian to launch the 350 model, which will share design similarities with the 777 but will offer a refreshing new look. Mandarin Airlines’ international routes will feature an entirely new 737 model, while domestic routes will use jet aircraft. Tigerair will commence flights to Northeast Asia in April, with plans to operate six aircraft by the end of this year and 12 by next year.
