As the weather warms up, Japan’s cherry blossoms have also arrived earlier than usual. On the 21st, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported that some Somei Yoshino cherry trees in Kagoshima City, Kyushu, have already begun to bloom — making it the earliest blooming city of the year, about five days ahead of schedule — which also signifies that Japan has officially entered cherry blossom season.
In addition, Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms in Kumamoto City and Nagoya City were also confirmed to have bloomed on the afternoon of the 21st, about two to five days earlier than usual, sparking excitement among both domestic and international tourists who are now gearing up to plan their new cherry blossom viewing trips.
