Taiwan’s First Temple 3D Light Show Debuts in Nengtou, Kaohsiung on the 28th

Taiwan’s first-ever temple 3D creative light show is here! The Kaohsiung Nengtou light show will premiere on the 28th, featuring the powerful rhythms of the Songjiang Battle Array drums as its musical backdrop, paired with stunning and dazzling visual transformations to create an unprecedented visual spectacle at Nengtou’s Nanhai Zhuzhu Temple.

Nengtou boasts the highest number of cultural and martial performance troupes, the densest concentration of master chefs, and the greatest variety and highest quality of anthuriums in Taiwan — collectively known as the “Three Treasures of Nengtou.” The “Kaohsiung Nengtou Songjiang Battle Array Event,” now in its 15th year, coincides with the pilgrimage of the Guanyin Bodhisattva around the area’s faith center, Zhuzhu Temple. Last year, it was designated by the Ministry of Culture as a significant national cultural asset and recognized as an important national folk festival. To celebrate this historic milestone, the Nengtou District Office has blended tradition with technology to create Taiwan’s first-ever temple 3D creative light show, “The Light of the Battle Array.”

With the powerful rhythms of the Songjiang Battle Array drums as its musical backdrop, and paired with stunning and dazzling visual transformations, the show transforms Nengtou’s Nanhai Zhuzhu Temple into a never-before-seen visual spectacle. Taiwan’s first-ever temple 3D creative light show aims to thrill the public’s senses. The premiere on March 28th will feature the unique “face-painted” (makeup-wearing) Songjiang Battle Array troupe “Neipu Songjiang Battle Array” taking the stage in competition, delivering a visual impact amid a whirl of light and sound.
