Nei Shuangxi Nature Center Launches 4 New Forest Experience Courses – Free Reservation Available

The Taipei City Nei Shuangxi Nature Center has newly designed group reservation courses for 2015, featuring four major themes: "Forest Waters Abound," "Spring Mud Nurtures Blooms," "Forest Carbon Mysteries," and "Exploring Nei Shuangxi." Reservations can be made one month in advance from now until November 10, 2015, with courses scheduled according to the preferred time slots of the applying organizations. Public and private institutions, as well as parent-child learning groups, are welcome to apply.

Located on Section 3, Zhishan Road, Shilin District, the Nei Shuangxi Nature Center is Taipei’s only forest-based nature center. In addition to offering different themed courses open to the public every month, the center has selected six popular parent-child courses from previous years—such as the Forest Six-Legged Journey, Forest Design Academy, Forest in the Palm of Your Hand, Secrets of Forest Seeds, Forest Floral Tales, and Scents in the Palm of Your Hand—to help participants learn about the basic structure, functions, and dispersal methods of seeds. These have been organized into 2–3 hour group reservation experiences, providing an alternative course option for those who were previously unable to secure a spot.

By Car: From downtown Taipei toward Outer Shuangxi, take Section 3 of Zhishan Road and ascend via Bixi Industrial Road to reach the center (parking available).
By Public Transport: Transfer from Jiantan MRT Station to
1. Shuttle bus Citizen Mini Bus No. 1 and get off at Xishan Nursery Stop.
2. Bus Xiao 18 and get off at Bixi Bridge, then walk to the Nei Shuangxi Nature Center (approximately 30 minutes).
