Embark on a Stress-Relieving Journey with Plants at Nei-Shuangxi — The “Fragrance in Your Hands” Course Has Begun

To welcome the arrival of spring, the Forest Life Credit Class at the Nei-Shuangxi Nature Center has officially commenced. From 09:30 to 16:00 on April 18th, a gardening therapy program will be offered to help the public relieve stress from daily life.

The Taipei City Government Department of Urban Development stated that as green natural healing (Green Care) is gradually being promoted and tried out, it hopes that through contact with nature, fatigue and frustration from work and life can be alleviated, and children can learn observational skills, cultivate a sense of responsibility from an early age, and develop a love for nature through taking care of plants. This event makes use of the center’s existing nursery field space, allowing participants to observe, create, engage in hands-on activities, and experience the joy and therapeutic effects of caring for various potted plants. Through touching with their own hands, sharing experiences, and enjoying flavors, participants can feel the wonderful healing power of nature.

The “Fragrance in Your Hands – Gardening Therapy Journey” event will take place on April 18th, 2015, from 09:30 AM to 04:00 PM. The entire event is free of charge and limited to parents and children in the third grade of elementary school or above registering together.
