Tigerair Taiwan launches Okinawa route on June 29, unveils “surprise fares” at noon on May 22

Following the launch of its Taoyuan-Tokyo Narita route on April 2 this year, Tigerair Taiwan will open its second Japanese route, “Taoyuan-Okinawa,” on June 29. Okinawa has been chosen as the airline’s second destination in its expansion into the Northeast Asian market. Tigerair Taiwan stated that in the initial phase, the Taoyuan-Okinawa (Naha) route will operate three flights per week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The outbound flight, IT230, departs from Taoyuan Airport at 06:30 AM, while the return flight, IT231, takes off from Naha Airport at 09:50 AM.

To celebrate the launch, Tigerair Taiwan will offer a promotional one-way fare of NT$1,288 (excluding tax) during the 2015 Taipei International Travel Fair, from May 22 to May 25, 2015. Additionally, Tigerair Taiwan’s official website will unveil a limited-time 24-hour surprise launch price starting at 12:00 PM on May 20, 2015, until 11:59 AM on May 21, 2015, for the Okinawa route. The applicable travel period is from June 29, 2015, to October 24, 2015. Travelers planning a trip are advised to prepare the necessary booking details in advance to secure the best deals.
