The 2020 Yuejin Port Lantern Festival will kick off on January 18 next year. Through a blend of reality and illusion, as well as multifaceted approaches, it overlays historical imagination onto the present. This year marks the first use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology, allowing visitors to experience different stunning visual effects through mobile phone filters.

Last year, the Yuejin Port Lantern Festival attracted 910,000 visitors, making it one of Taiwan’s most distinctive lantern festivals during the Spring Festival. This year, marking its 10th anniversary, the event is expanding with the opening of the “Moon Art Museum” and art exhibitions that have already captured attention, generating even more anticipation among fans for this year’s artistic creations.
