The northeast monsoon is intensifying, with temperatures continuing to drop. Starting Monday, temperatures will fall below 20°C; Typhoon Kammuri, the 28th typhoon, has weakened to a moderate typhoon and is moving toward Vietnam. Travelers in Vietnam in the coming days should pay close attention to typhoon developments.

On December 1st, there will be localized brief showers in the eastern half of the country and the Hengchun Peninsula during the day, with scattered brief showers in the northern region. Other areas will be mostly cloudy to sunny.
On Monday and Tuesday (December 2nd–3rd), under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the weather in central and northern Taiwan as well as the northeastern region will turn noticeably cooler, while mornings and evenings will also be cool in other areas. Low temperatures in parts of the north and central regions could dip to around 13–14°C. There will be localized brief showers in the northern and eastern parts of the country, while the central and southern regions will remain mostly cloudy to sunny.
Typhoon Kammuri, currently a moderate typhoon (international name: KAMMURI), is moving westward toward the Philippines and will not have an immediate impact on Taiwan’s weather in the short term. However, it is expected to enter the South China Sea via the Philippines next Wednesday (December 4th), after which its peripheral moisture will indirectly affect Taiwan’s weather as it moves northward. Additionally, before next Wednesday (December 4th), there is a chance of high waves along the coasts of northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the country (including Orchid Island and Green Island), the Hengchun Peninsula, and Matsu. At 2:00 AM on December 1st, the center of Typhoon Kammuri (international name: KAMMURI) was located at 13.4°N, 132.7°E, moving westward at 24 km/h.
