The Sea of Lights Land Art Display Is a Huge Hit! Snow Falls in Pingtung – Seven Must-Visit Photo Spots

The 2019 Pingtung Christmas event officially lit up on November 29, this year themed around a “Golden Fantasy Fairy Tale World.” With a magical golden tone as its base, Pingtung Park has been transformed into an enchanting world full of fantasy adventures, featuring various golden artistic light displays along with a dreamy ice crystal castle, making visitors feel as if they’ve returned to their childhood days of boundless imagination.

Last year’s Christmas event saw the introduction of a pink carousel at Pingtung Park for the first time, with the pink Christmas theme winning the hearts of many visitors. This year, the light displays have shifted to a golden color scheme, creating a “Golden Fantasy Fairy Tale World.” Even during the test lighting period, it generated a buzz online, with its dreamy designs such as the ice crystal castle, Christmas bobblehead dolls, and the fantasy world, all exuding a magical and romantic atmosphere.

On the evening of November 29, when the lights were officially turned on, Pingtung Park will also experience an artificial snowfall. Located in the subtropics, Pingtung enjoys spring-like weather all year round, even boasting sunny skies in winter. This year, snow machines have been specially deployed to turn Pingtung Park into a wintery snowy scene, allowing adults to relive childhood memories and children to create wonderful new ones.

This year, over 10 sets of distinctive light displays and light environments have been set up in Pingtung Park. In addition to the dreamy main light display—the ice crystal castle—there is also the adorable “Santa Claus Bobblehead” interacting with visitors; golden lights paired with elegant wisteria decorations create the fantastical “Sky Garden”; by the lake in the park, the shimmering “Winter Lake Wish” radiates hope; the “Dream-Catching Starry Sky,” which symbolizes gathering dreams to form a sparkling starry expanse; and the 3-meter-tall “Mr. Moose,” bringing Christmas blessings to Pingtung Park and immersing the entire park in a golden, romantic, and fantastical holiday atmosphere.

The “Magic Forest” and “Sky Garden” lead visitors into a fantastical golden fairy tale world and are also popular photo spots among social media influencers this year. The large “PINGTUNG” English-letter light display calls out to those far from home to come back for the holidays; additionally, at the front square of Pingtung County-, there is also a Light Waterfall, where a golden cascade creates an exquisite, luxurious, and dazzling Christmas scene.
