The Nantou County Government has invested nearly NT$30 million to build a brand-new family sports park next to the nursery at its agricultural marketing company’s “Pig Paradise.” Spanning around 3 hectares, the park will feature amusement facilities, a splash pool, and a huge lawn, with plans to open by the end of the year.

Chou Yixiong, general manager of Nantou County’s Agricultural Marketing Company, said that County Magistrate and Chairman Lin Ming-tsuen, who is committed to developing Nantou as a tourism capital, has taken another big step forward by creating an ecological family leisure park next to Pig Paradise. In the future, “wind chime percussion instruments” will also be introduced to attract more visitors and generate additional revenue for Pig Paradise.

Currently, children’s play equipment has been installed in the park, along with a splash pool, a sandpit, fountains, and other water features. The heart-shaped large lawn has an 800-meter walking path around it—twice the size of a standard sports field. The park is expected to open by the end of this year or early next year during the Lunar New Year, becoming a new leisure highlight for Minge Township.

In addition, to celebrate its 36th anniversary, Nantou County’s Agricultural Marketing Company is launching a special promotion from now until the end of November. Buy one item and get the second of the same product at half price, buy one face mask and get one free, and customers can also pre-order items to pick up during the Lunar New Year.
