Relive the filming locations of 'Monga' at the Bopiliao Image Memory Exhibition

The historic Bopiliao district, made famous by the movie 'Monga', features traditional and classic Chinese architecture and storefronts. Stepping into the area feels like entering a time tunnel, immersing you in the historical memories of people, times, and places of the past. The Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau’s “Flipping Through Old Photo Albums – The Bopiliao Image Memory Exhibition” displays hundreds of snapshots from daily life in the past, allowing visitors to revisit those stories and experience the memories of Bopiliao.

The “Flipping Through Old Photo Albums – The Bopiliao Image Memory Exhibition” is divided into six major themes: “Monga Charm”, “Everyday Life”, “Street Life”, “When the Bell Rings”, “Memories of Growing Up”, and “Dialogue Across Time”. It documents the various changes in the Bopiliao area over the years, and also showcases spectacular scenes of mass calisthenics at Old Song Elementary School and everyday life of residents, offering a glimpse into the cultural differences between past and present.

Fans of 'Monga' and those interested in historical sites and old things should definitely visit Bopiliao. The special exhibition will run until September 15.
