Capitalizing on the booming business opportunities brought by the increasing number of mainland Chinese travelers visiting Taiwan on free independent travel (FIT) visas, Taiwan Salt has pioneered a cross-sector collaboration with Royal Caribbean International, the largest cruise line in Asia, to launch an exclusive “Perfect Ten” promotional package. Together, they aim to attract travelers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
The initial focus is on nine cruise routes departing from Taiwan to destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Jiangnan, Fukuoka, and Jeju Island in South Korea, scheduled for late August and early September. Customers who purchase NT$100,000 worth of designated Taiwan Salt skincare and healthcare products will receive a NT$30,000 cruise voucher as a gift.
Huang Hsi-yao, Chairman of Taiwan Salt, stated that as cross-strait tourism continues to flourish, premium-themed cruise travel has become increasingly popular. Taiwan Salt, which has long advocated a healthy, beautiful, and enjoyable lifestyle, is breaking new ground by forming an unprecedented alliance between its comprehensive Green Miracle brand and a luxury cruise company. This partnership offers round-the-clock VIP treatment to cruise guests and consumers alike, sailing together toward a brighter future.
Starting from its core salt and water businesses, Taiwan Salt has gradually expanded into a full range of daily necessities, including cleaning, health care, and skincare products. Among them, the Green Miracle series, launched ten years ago and regarded as a benchmark for domestic skincare brands, has gained immense popularity. The best-selling star products of the series include the Revitalizing Essence, Face Cream, and Whitening Essence.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of these best-selling products during the peak summer travel season, Taiwan Salt has partnered with Royal Caribbean International. Lin K’ai-ti, Chairman of Royal Caribbean, noted that Taiwan Salt’s products are trusted for their reliability and strong brand identity. More importantly, they are well-suited for Asian skin types. As the company prepares to make significant inroads into the Asian market, this collaboration is seen as a mutually beneficial opportunity.
Lin K’ai-ti emphasized that cruise packages range from two-night/three-day to five-night/six-day itineraries, with prices starting from NT$30,000 up to NT$46,900. Onboard services include accommodations and all meals. The primary target customers are corporate conference groups and families traveling with children. Initially, cruises will only dock at Keelung Port in Taiwan, but future plans may include stops at Taichung Port, Kaohsiung Port, and even Anping Port.
This “Perfect Ten” collaborative package includes specially tailored cruise vouchers for Taiwan Salt’s VIPs. These are offered on Royal Caribbean’s flagship cruise ship, the “Explorer of the Seas,” which is the largest luxury cruise vessel in Asia. The vouchers cover six cruise packages departing from Taiwan to destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Jiangnan, Fukuoka, Zhangjiajie, and Jeju Island in South Korea, scheduled between late August and early September 2012, as well as three additional cruise packages from Tianjin and Shanghai on the mainland to Taiwan—totaling nine unique cruise itineraries.
In other words, starting now, any consumer who purchases designated Taiwan Salt skincare and wellness products with a minimum spend of NT$100,000 in a single transaction becomes a Taiwan Salt VIP. By opting for installment delivery, they can receive a Royal Caribbean cruise voucher valued from NT$30,000 to NT$35,000.
