On the afternoon of the first day of the Lunar New Year (the 10th), the Yuanglinzi Eco-Art Development Association in Chiayi City will host a charity bazaar and eco-tour event. The public is invited to make donations to participate in the Yuanlinzi adventure challenge, with all proceeds going to the Dongshi Sacred Heart Vocational Training Center. Lin Laishun, a successful businessman, has retired to Yuanlinzi and offered his private estate to support community development.
The Yuanglinzi Eco-Art Development Association has designed ten challenge checkpoints based on ten natural and cultural attractions in the community, including century-old lychee trees, the Gaoyi Horse Ranch, Cai Naizheng’s Stone Sculpture Park, A-Dan’s Eco Pond, and the Tiger-headed Owl Viewing Platform. Participants who donate NT$100 will receive a family-friendly orienteering challenge card and a raffle ticket. The full tour covers approximately three kilometers and takes about 40 minutes to an hour and a half on foot. There will also be a second-hand goods auction, and visitors are welcome to donate their own pre-loved items on the day.
Lin Laishun, 80 years old, is a new member of the community. Embracing local customs, he supports community development and, together with long-time resident Ji Kunliang and others, donated land to create the one-hectare Dingpi Park.
