The globally popular mobile game Battle of Balls, which has been played by 300 million people worldwide, is now making a strong debut on both platforms in collaboration with LINE, the leading messaging app. Liu Xiao-chuan, chairman of the game’s distributor, 8888Play, stated that this is a magical, fun, and all-ages-friendly game.
Liu Xiao-chuan mentioned that since its launch, Battle of Balls has surpassed 300 million users globally, with up to 25 million players daily. The game is easy to pick up, suitable for all ages, and features high social interactivity and parent-child leisure play. It’s a super-popular mobile game worldwide, and the company hopes it will become a family-friendly game for parents and children to enjoy together, following in the footsteps of Pokémon. Starting in June, national competitions will be held to propel Taiwanese players onto the global stage.
Ye Meng-ying, vice president of 8888Play, stated that the company already has its own Battle of Balls team, which won first place in the overseas division of the global finals in January this year. They will continue to train Taiwanese players. In recent years, esports has gradually gained government attention and has been promised inclusion as an official sport. 8888Play is also keen to promote the esports industry and will actively support it through its newly launched “Catpaw” live streaming platform.
Battle of Balls was developed by Shanghai-based Giant Network Technology. Its integration with LINE significantly enhances its social features, emphasizing real-time competitive matches among friends anytime, anywhere.
Liu Xiao-chuan explained that the reason Battle of Balls has become the world’s most popular casual esports mobile game lies not only in its simple and user-friendly controls and interface but also in its strategic depth and rich interactivity, which keep players coming back for more. 1060331
