The renowned Kaohsiung-based trendy Taiwanese tea salon “Yongxin Phoenix Tea” has expanded to Taichung’s Eslite Spectrum after opening a branch in northern Taiwan last year, marking its fifth store nationwide. With presences in northern, central, and southern Taiwan, its highly aesthetic interior design has become a new hotspot for Instagram-worthy photos in Taichung.

Yongxin Phoenix Tea’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Eslite Spectrum Taichung branch opened on September 24, continuing its retro yet refined fusion of East-meets-West design style. Spanning 65 ping, the space incorporates Taichung Railway Station’s century-old railway culture, using arches and red-blue color tones to create a uniquely train-inspired design.

Inside the store, furnishings such as marble tables and rattan chairs are even more exquisitely detailed, making it another new hot spot for social media photo ops. The menu also introduces new ideas for the Taichung branch, featuring local specialties like Yunlin Province’s “Returning Home Duck Rice” and Chiayi’s regional dish “Assorted Clay Pot Fish Head,” along with a Taichung-flavored “Matsuzaka Scallion Fried Noodles.”

Beyond its popular dishes, the Taichung branch also upgrades its beverage offerings. In homage to Taichung being the birthplace of bubble tea and milk tea, Yongxin Phoenix Tea has specially crafted the “Yongxin Rich Milk Tea,” based on three types of Taiwanese tea: Alishan high-mountain black tea, Nantou Assam black tea, and Taitung Red Oolong. This drink has become a highlight of the Taichung store.

Yongxin Phoenix Tea’s Taichung branch is located on the third floor of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Eslite Spectrum, and is another beloved new-age Taiwanese tea brand. As part of its plan to establish a presence in all three major regions of Taiwan, the brand also does not rule out expanding overseas in the future to promote the delightful flavors of Taiwanese tea.
