Invested by Guantian Steel Corporation, the Xiadu Hotel Group has further allocated NT$800 million to establish Xiadu City Hotel in the southern district of Tainan City. Slated to officially open on April 12, it aims to aggressively capture the business traveler and family-with-four-guest-rooms markets, as well as local dining opportunities in buffet, bar, and banquet services. To boost the visibility of the new location, it’s even offering an unprecedented promotion through travel fairs — buy 10 buffet meals, get 4 free, undercutting competitors who mostly offer buy 10, get 2.
Cai Huihua, deputy general manager of Xiadu City Hotel, said that Liu Fuzhuang Hotel had decided to exit the Tainan market during the investment phase, but this will not affect the new location’s scheduled opening because it is situated in the northern district of Tainan City, while Xiadu City Hotel is located in the southern district, with different primary target customer groups.
The Xiadu Hotel Group has invested NT$800 million to build the brand-new Xiadu City Hotel. Analyzing its strengths, it is adjacent to Anping Industrial Park, the earliest-established industrial zone in Tainan, which hosts hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises and a stable base of business clientele. Moreover, it features expansive recreational facilities aimed squarely at the family market, hoping to leverage nearly 20 years of service experience from Kenting’s Xiadu Beach Hotel to make a strong entry into this market.
Continuing the Xiadu Hotel Group’s brand ethos of “comfort, enjoyment, and friendliness,” Xiadu City Hotel has 104 guest rooms. Designed with two styles — “leisurely humanities” and “textured fashion” — it offers six room types ranging from 12 to 14 ping (approximately 39–46 square meters) in size. The rooms feature a one-bedroom-one-living-room layout and are equipped with top-tier hardware that meets current travel trends, putting guest needs first.
At the same time, eyeing Taiwan’s family-travel market, Xiadu City Hotel, which targets family outings, boasts a 200-ping, two-story-high “City Play FUN Space.” This safe and fun play area, created exclusively for children, is the only indoor hundred-ping family playground in Tainan’s hotel scene.
Additionally, it offers the “City Bistro Buffet” all-day dining restaurant with live foreign band performances, the “Xiadu Banquet Hall” that can accommodate up to 60 tables, the private-room-style “City Travel Pavilion” for Hong Kong-style dim sum, as well as rooftop KTV rooms and a rooftop bar.
At the same time, Xiadu City Hotel will make its debut at the 2018 Spring Cheng Kung University International Travel Fair. To warm up for the opening, it is offering special introductory deals for Tainan residents, including a regular “Mood / Moodful” double room with breakfast for two, priced at NT$8,500, available at the promotional price of NT$3,688; a regular “Mood / Moodful” double room without breakfast, offered at NT$2,888. A regular “Mood Enjoy” family room with breakfast for four is priced at NT$12,000, available at NT$5,888; the same room type without breakfast is offered at NT$4,388.
For the buffet at City Bistro, the first wave of promotions includes a seafood and meat set meal, with a package of 10 meals plus 4 free, originally priced at NT$12,250, now available at the promotional price of NT$8,750.
