A hidden forest gem in the Greater Taipei area. Wulai is renowned for its beautiful mountains and waters. Visiting Cloudland Amusement Park in Wulai allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy being surrounded by mountains and the sound of babbling streams. During the summer vacation, the park has launched a variety of parent-child package deals, including a nighttime frog-watching activity as well as several parent-child DIY events. The all-inclusive one-day park ticket is only NT$399.

Cloudland Amusement Park is the only theme park in Taiwan that cannot be reached by car and can only be accessed via cable car. The park’s most iconic attraction is the Wulai Waterfall, located on the upper reaches of the Xindian River, which was referred to as “Cloud-Coming Waterfall” during the Japanese colonial period. From afar, the waterfall resembles a white ribbon, with dense forests, valleys, and rich flora and fauna creating a picturesque landscape. It’s a delightful experience for visitors to get close to mountain springs during the hot summer.

The park is also a hidden gem for enjoying forest phytoncides and negative ions. The source of the Wulai Waterfall is at an altitude of about 500 meters. The park also offers recreational facilities such as boating, archery, and paintball, making it suitable for family trips. In recent years, the park has been dedicated to frog conservation in the Wulai area, and currently houses 14 species of native Taiwanese frogs.

Cloudland Amusement Park announced that to facilitate parent-child water play and frog-watching activities during the summer vacation, nighttime frog-watching sessions are offered from Monday to Thursday. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more, including the cable car ride, special meals, and nighttime frog viewing, at just NT$450 per person. Additionally, no reservation is needed from Friday to Sunday, with a special meal included for just NT$369 per person, making it convenient for families to enjoy forest bathing and the fun of frog exploration together.

During the summer vacation, street performers are also invited to entertain, allowing families to enjoy the park accompanied by music. There is also a day-trip package deal, with the cable car plus either a seasonal set meal or an indigenous house set meal for just NT$568 per person. The all-inclusive one-day park ticket is just NT$399 per person. On holidays, there are various DIY activities planned for families, such as parent-child ice cream making, frog crafts, and leather carving.
