Emirates A380 makes its first flight from Taoyuan on 7/19! The aircraft features spa shower cabins onboard.

Emirates Airlines announced on the 17th that the Taipei-Dubai route will use an A380 aircraft on July 19, allowing people in Taiwan to ride the giant aircraft equipped with shower cabins. However, since the A380 flights to Taiwan by Emirates are exploratory, they are available only on July 19 for the time being. After that, the current B777 models will continue to be used, and future arrangements will be adjusted as needed.

A380 flight EK366 departs Dubai at 4:05 a.m. local time on July 19 and arrives at Taoyuan International Airport at 4:40 p.m. the same day; Flight EK367 departs Taiwan at 11:45 p.m. Taipei time on the same day and arrives at Dubai Airport at 4:15 a.m. the next day, with a total flight time of about 8 hours and 30 minutes. Emirates is the first airline to operate A380 passenger flights to Taiwan after the completion of the renovation of the southern runway at Taoyuan Airport and the construction of new smart double-deck glass airbridges.

The Emirates A380 cabin is configured with 14 first-class private suites, 76 fully flat business class seats, and 401 economy class seats. Most notably, the aircraft features spa shower cabins to offer first-class passengers a more relaxing journey. In addition, all passengers flying on the Emirates A380 can enjoy the ice inflight entertainment system, which offers over 2,000 entertainment channels, as well as complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi. Airbus A380
The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, four-engine jumbo jet developed by the European aerospace company Airbus. The prototype of this model was first unveiled in mid-2004. The first A380 aircraft held its rollout ceremony at the Toulouse plant on January 18, 2005, and successfully completed its maiden flight on April 27. On November 11 of the same year, the aircraft made its first intercontinental test flight, arriving in Asia at Singapore. On October 15, 2007, the aircraft was first delivered to Singapore Airlines, and on October 25, it carried its first passengers from Singapore Changi Airport to Sydney Airport in Australia.

The A380 is the world's largest passenger aircraft by capacity, breaking Boeing 747’s nearly 37-year record as the civilian aircraft with the highest passenger capacity. When configured with the highest seat density, it can carry 893 passengers. In a three-class configuration (first class, business class, and economy class), it can accommodate 555 passengers.
