The Taipei Children’s New Park announced that from July 1 to August 29 during the summer vacation, entry will be free for all visitors after 4 PM. During the summer period, operating hours will be extended daily until 8 PM, and until 9 PM every Saturday. Commemorative stamps will also be launched for visitors to collect.

As for how to enjoy the park to the fullest despite the summer heat, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation also suggests “choosing time slots and rides.” During peak sun hours, opt for air-conditioned attractions such as the “Fruit Ferris Wheel” and the “Galaxy,” or head to the third-floor shaded rides, the beautifully umbrella-shaped “Ocean Adventure,” or the indoor play area. In addition, the park has added orange-yellow sunshades and canopies for visitor shade.

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation stated that due to the extended operating hours during the summer, regular maintenance schedules are affected. Therefore, five rides — the “Cruising Chair,” “Jungle Roar Treehouse,” “Flying Magic,” “Magic Space Coaster,” and “Little Dragon” — will undergo preventive maintenance on one weekday each during the summer break. Notices regarding ride closures will be posted on the Children’s New Park website one week in advance.

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation explained that if riders feel scared or wish to stop during a ride, those on the Fruit Ferris Wheel or Galaxy can press the intercom to inform staff. For other rides, waving a hand or calling out will prompt staff to immediately pause the ride and offer appropriate assistance.
