The Taipei City Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation is hosting the "Summer Night Forest Tales" event from 18:00 to 20:30 on August 15th at the Nei-Shuangxi Nature Center, inviting the public to enjoy an ecological film and participate in nighttime wildlife observation activities to discover the wonders of life during summer nights.

The "Summer Night Forest Tales" event is suitable for family audiences aged 9 and above. It includes the screening of an ecological film and visits along five nighttime observation routes, using a quest-style format to guide 250 parent-child pairs on an in-depth search for the small forest animals that emerge at night. The Bureau noted that although forest animals may seem quiet and inconspicuous, they actually hide in the dark corners. Therefore, flashlights will be used in the evening to lead both children and adults into the summer night forest to learn about the fascinating lives of these little creatures.

The Bureau stated that the Nei-Shuangxi Nature Center was transformed from a nursery into a nature education hub, dedicated to nature conservation and environmental education outreach. With its rich surrounding ecology and excellent environment, it is Taipei City’s first forest-type environmental education venue. The "Summer Night Forest Tales" is also the first large-scale nighttime event ever planned, offering both fun and deep ecological educational value. Registration for the courses is expected to open on July 20th.
