A quick online search for TUTTO BELLO will reveal it’s hailed as “the best Italian restaurant in Taiwan.” But with such steep prices, Mengtian Nongfu can probably only afford to dine here once every two or three years — because one meal is enough to keep you dreaming about it for that long.

TUTTO BELLO, tucked away in an alley, isn’t hard to find. If your taxi driver isn’t sure of the location, just mention it’s next to Huaguo Hotel. If you’re taking the MRT, get off at Zhongshan Elementary School Station on the Zhonghe–Xinlu Line, exit at Exit 1, and walk north for about ten minutes.

The interior is simple yet elegant. Since I visited at noon, the place was very bright. I remember that if you come for dinner, the dim lighting might make it a bit tricky to take good food photos.

As soon as you’re seated, the staff will ask whether you’d prefer sparkling or still water.

This is today’s menu cover.

This is today’s special wine-pairing menu. Not only were the dishes exceptional, but the prices were surprisingly reasonable. To avoid bothering the restaurant, I won’t list the prices here.

The croissants are absolutely delicious.

Be sure to pair them with truffle cream and tuna cream spreads! The truffle cream, in particular, is not to be missed — it’s so good you might just ask the waiter to warm up a second basket of bread for you.

This is Iberian ham brought by a friend and is not part of today’s set menu. Iberian ham is known as the Rolls-Royce of hams. The pigs are raised on acorns, giving the meat a uniquely fragrant taste. The best way to enjoy it is thinly sliced — the light shining through the translucent slices, the fat melting in your mouth without feeling greasy.

Seasonal white asparagus in chicken consommé / Smoked salmon with tomato crostini

As soon as you bite into the white asparagus, the sweet flavor of the chicken broth fills your mouth. It’s tender, juicy, and requires almost no chewing.

The top layer is a vegetable salad, the middle is smoked salmon, and the bottom is tomato.

Lift the top layer of vegetables, and you’ll see two large slices of smoked salmon.

Buffalo mozzarella with aged cheese sauce / Tuscan onion soup

This buffalo mozzarella isn’t overly strong — even someone like me, who’s not a big cheese fan, can enjoy it. It has a soft, chewy texture.

This cup of onion soup truly deserves a perfect 100! I can’t imagine how long it must have been simmered to achieve this sweet, rich flavor — just the right balance, neither too mild nor too intense.

● 《ETtoday News Cloud》 reminds you: Don’t drink and drive, and don’t drive after drinking.
These are the stars of today’s wine-pairing event. Unfortunately, Mengtian Nongfu knows nothing about wine and couldn’t appreciate the nuances — I was just here for the food.

Crispy fried Iberian pork with Iberian ham / Crispy risotto with duck liver cream sauce

This dish is meant to be eaten in parts. The top layer is the fried Iberian pork chop. It was so good I forgot to take a cross-section photo — by the time I remembered, it was all gone.

Stir the risotto at the bottom evenly with the sauce. Though the rice grains have absorbed the sauce, they still retain a nice firm texture.

Grill-roasted 9+ grade Wagyu beef ribs / Port wine sauce
This beef is incredibly tender — it practically melts in your mouth. With premium-grade beef like this, the texture is something you really have to experience for yourself.

Crispy skin Charolais duck breast fillet / Thyme orange sauce
Blood duck refers to a special preparation method that allows the duck blood to remain inside the bird. When cooked at the right temperature, it achieves a crispy skin paired with juicy, tender meat. This dish truly showcases the chef’s exceptional culinary skills.

You’d never know it was a peach just by looking.

But cut it open and you’ll see—it’s definitely a peach. On the right is vanilla ice cream.

And finally, there’s a cup of hot tea.
Friends at today’s wine tasting said the wine and food complemented each other perfectly. Having dined at restaurants all over Taipei, they agreed that TUTTO BELLO offers the most consistent quality and a wide variety of dishes—they’ve been here many times and never get tired of it.
Foodies looking to try top-tier Italian cuisine absolutely must visit TUTTO BELLO.
