This ‘Evil Yakitori Bento’ is another brand under Little Devil Steakhouse. Wisely had already tried it when the first outlet opened near the Dingxi MRT Station in Yonghe, but since it was mainly for takeout, he felt the food tasted better when eaten on the spot and forgot to share his experience afterward. Recently, upon hearing that they had opened a dine-in branch near the Technology Building MRT Station, he seized the chance to dine there during a visit and also took some home for Little D.

This shop is quite close to National Normal University and the area around Wolong Street, which is also home to many popular eateries. He used to visit this area frequently for meals. The shop now has dine-in seating. On the day of the visit, it was lunchtime, and business was booming—he had to wait about 10 minutes for a seat.

After finding a seat, he went to the counter to order. Prices average around NT$100–130, which is mid-to-high range, but the ingredients used by the shop are fairly good, so it’s within an acceptable range. However, he personally felt the side dishes were a bit simple, though that’s not an issue for those who love meat and rice.

The dining style here is semi-self-service, so utensils and hot tea are self-served, but it’s a bit of a pity that soup isn’t included.

The Ultra Beef Bento uses cuts with rich marbling, giving it a bold and intense flavor. Paired with a half-boiled egg and simple sides, it’s decent, but their rice is genuinely delicious—(this is also one of the shop’s selling points).

The Pork Loin Bento is a good second choice for those who don’t eat beef (the first being chicken). It includes both lean and fatty pork, and it’s quite enjoyable when hot. The pork belly is a matter of personal preference, and the sweet-savory sauce can sometimes be overly salty, similar to the beef bento.

Seafood and grilled fish lovers will find the Grilled Mackerel Bento to be great value. Its portion size is surprisingly large, and it tastes best when eaten fresh, though it can become a bit dry and tough when cold. Considering the price, it offers the best cost-performance ratio.

Wisely’s favorite Evil Chicken Bento isn’t available without a reservation and is limited daily, selling out quickly. For him, its flavor pairs perfectly with the bold sauce. Compared to beef and pork, he actually prefers the grilled chicken. While the price is on the higher side, he feels the extra few dozen dollars are worth it.

Later, he tried the bento from the Yonghe branch and found that the shop now seems to prepare them in advance, unlike the earlier practice of making them fresh, which made them less delicious. So, if you want the freshest taste, he recommends the Da’an branch more. ^^
