Travel a city through sports！ On the 25th, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau held its first “Lite Triathlon” experience, featuring canoeing on the Love River, cycling with the wind, and a costume night run—making the triathlon more accessible and attracting participants of all ages from across the country.

The “Lite Triathlon” unfolds along the Love River area, where athletes try their hands at canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding while enjoying the scenic views of the river; they then hop on public bikes (C-Bike) to tour attractions such as the Shoushan Lover’s Viewing Platform, the Hamasen Railway Cultural Park, and the Pier-2 Art Center. The stylish bike paths full of cultural charm also left the athletes pleasantly surprised. And after the sports, they didn’t forget to savor local delicacies, cooling off under the summer heat with a visit to the century-old Yaya Ice Shop along the way. In the evening, the costume night run party kicked off, joined by Kaohsiung Bear as a fun-paced running companion, culminating at the event’s final stop—the Heart of the Love River.
