“Taiwan’s Largest Japanese Hotel Booking Platform Goes Live – 5,000 Properties Available on a Fully Chinese Page”

With the yen depreciating, budget airlines rising, and more flights between Taiwan and Japan, travel to Japan from Taiwan has surged. Domestic travel agencies have capitalized on this trend, forming a strategic alliance with Japan’s largest hotel booking service, JTB, to launch Taiwan’s largest Japanese hotel booking platform. Featuring 5,000 hotels, it covers major cities, small towns, and hot spring areas across Japan, all accessible via a fully Chinese interface for travelers.

Japan’s National Tourism Organization announced in July that overseas tourist arrivals to Japan in the first half of 2015 grew by 46%, with visits from Taiwan increasing by nearly 30% to 1.79 million. In June alone, the number of Taiwanese visitors hit 345,000, breaking previous records. This summer, hotel bookings for Japan have also increased by over 30% compared to the same period last year. The craze among Taiwanese for Japan has led to a shortage of available hotel rooms.

You Jinzhang, General Manager of Easypass Travel Network, stated that in response to the surge in Taiwanese travel to Japan, they have formed a strategic alliance with Japan’s largest hotel booking service, JTB, to launch “Taiwan’s Largest Japanese Hotel Booking Platform.” The existing 1,000 Japanese hotels have been expanded fivefold to offer over 5,000 options, along with a lowest-price guarantee, covering major cities, small towns, and hot spring areas across Japan. The platform also features a fully Chinese-language page to facilitate easy booking for travelers.
