“Cloud Tour Monopoly” Kicks Off – Travel Taiwan with the Contestants

On the noon of the 21st, Cloud Tour Group held“2105 Travel with Cloud Tour – Cloud Tour Monopoly”press conference, where a total of 14 contestants were divided into 7 teams. This time, there were JiayP and Kivi from the “College Students Are Not Stupid” show, as well as university students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. One of them, a girl named Yu Yang, loves photography during her travels abroad, and her works have even been featured in “Photography Travel.” The average age of the contestants was around 28, but all had rich travel experience.

Each team consisted of contestants who didn’t know each other and were meeting for the first time. However, they competed on-site in activities such as shouting team chants to test their chemistry, a real-life version of Monopoly involving dice rolls to randomly determine travel destinations, and an exciting competition for making 18-fold dumplings on the spot. The top-performing teams at each challenge could win prizes.

The real-life Monopoly game is connected to the newly launched app “Taste Taiwan”,said Tsai Hsin-hung, Deputy PR Manager of the Public Affairs Department at Cloud Tour Group,explaining that this app can be used to search for delicious food and scenic spots all over Taiwan, including even the Leaning Postbox.

The grand prize of this competition is a pair of double occupancy hotel vouchers worth 150,000 NTD for a stay in Rome, Italy. Netizens can also visit the Facebook pages of any Cloud Tour Group hotel, like and share the designated post about the Cloud Tour Monopoly event, for a chance to win a 50% discount accommodation voucher. There are a total of 99 such vouchers. (All valid for weekdays)

As one of the contestants, Yu Yang is from Beijing, China, and has a popular blog with good readership. It was her first time in Taiwan, and she attended the event at Regent Taipei Hotel. She enjoys independent travel. In the interview, she also mentioned having visited more than ten countries, usually using her annual leave or spring break to combine days off and travel abroad. If going to Japan or Korea, she takes about 2–3 days off; if visiting Southeast Asia, she takes around a week; and if going to Europe or America, she plans holidays as long as 10-plus days.Her most memorable trip was to France, where she enjoyed in-depth travel and stayed for 13 days.She also said she found Taiwanese girls very friendly and hopes to have the opportunity to come again.
