176 passengers witness the inaugural flight of Tigerair Taiwan’s Kaohsiung–Tokyo route today

Tigerair Taiwan launched its Kaohsiung–Tokyo Narita route today (September 1), with 176 passengers on the inaugural flight witnessing the event, achieving a load factor of over 98%. To mark the occasion, Tigerair Taiwan also held an interactive photo activity in the departure lounge.

The Kaohsiung–Tokyo Narita route is the third international route operated by Tigerair Taiwan from Kaohsiung, following the Kaohsiung–Macau and Kaohsiung–Osaka Kansai routes. Since its launch today, there will be one round-trip flight daily.

Tigerair Taiwan stated that as more low-cost carriers enter Taiwan’s civil aviation market, it believes the way people travel is changing. On August 26, Tigerair Taiwan also welcomed a new Airbus A320 from Toulouse, France, bringing its fleet size to six aircraft. Additionally, Tigerair Taiwan launched a pre-order service for duty-free products on board in August to make shopping more convenient for passengers.
