九份位于台湾东北部丘陵地，环山面海，为昔日的台湾采金中心，拥有变化多端的山海美景；为一座小小的山城，保有着纯朴的旧日生活风貌。
光绪年间，发现金矿后，顿时繁荣了起来，为此山城留下了“小香港”的称号，到了民国33年，终因矿产缺乏开采价值，九份的辉煌时期因而宣告结束。
