本哈为埃及东北部的一座城市，是盖卢比尤省的首府，位于开罗以北48公里处，尼罗河三角洲南部，杜姆亚特河右岸，现时是埃及电子业的中心。这座城市是铁路网络的主要交汇处，拥有埃及第六大火车站，此外，也是本哈大学所在地。
在本哈的北部是几座古城的所在地，被称之为“阿斯比斯”（Athribis），历史可以追溯至公元前1500年，但是从来没有被考古学家研究过，多年来，农民在此发现了大量的银器。
