牛栏洞遗址

　　牛栏洞位于广东省英德市云岭镇东南面约2公里的狮子山南麓，东经113°2710″，北纬24°20′34″。狮子山是一座石灰岩孤峰，相对高度约100米，周围是石灰岩地区的蚀余丘陵山地。狮子山下南侧有一条宽约25米的古河道经过，向东南2公里处注入北江。牛栏洞是因当地村民在洞中圈牛而得名。洞内主要为廊道型发育，但较深处洞顶有落水洞使局部呈裂隙型发育。全洞平面略呈曲尺形，洞口在东端，方向138°，宽

　　2.5米，距山下地表约11米，因洞壁崩落石块，使洞口仅可容一人进出。从洞口内进为斜坡式向下，至约10米处以后呈缓平状，洞口向西延伸共长约25米（东洞），然后向北拐弯延伸至尽头约有20米（北洞），拐弯处向南也有一小段（南支洞），长约4米，尽处被今人炸通而形成略宽的洞口。洞内高5米~15米，宽2.5米~5米，总面积约400平方米。
