江心小岛

　　通天塔始建于明嘉靖25年（1546年），万历31（1603年）重修，毁于清咸丰年间（1851年至1861年）。洪秀全领导的农民起义太平军围攻韶关，久攻不进，有个将领登上通天塔观察城中布防，被守城的清军发现，朝通天塔猛烈开炮轰击。通天塔被摧毁倒塌，那个太平军将领也壮烈牺牲。通天塔被称为"中流塔影"，是古曲江二十四景名胜之一。

　　如今，如今每逢喜庆节日，市政府都会在江心小岛举行烟花汇演，造型各异、异彩纷呈的烟花，吸引了三江六岸的市民沿江观赏，更为韶城增添了节日的气氛。
