小南海位于恩施与重庆交界的地方，交通并不方便。小南海是一个集山、海、岛、峡等风光于一体的高山淡水堰塞湖泊，也是国内迄今保存最完整的一处古地震遗址。湖边秀峰环列，海口奇石林立，沿海溪水萦回，海内汊港纵横，岛上茂林修竹。
到达交通：先从咸丰乘车去重庆黔江，然后再乘车去小南海地震遗址。从咸丰只能包车前往。
