太白岩

太白岩

　　太白岩位于万州城北，高约400米，长约3公里，面积120公顷。“白岩仙迹”，原是万州八景之一，极具自然风光优势。岩上古今题刻更是闻名遐迩。自唐宋以来，即为名胜。太白岩半山石壁有宋代石刻“观德亭”，有清道光年间石刻“太白岩”，有黄庭坚“西山记”碑刻，这篇书作曾被曾国藩赞为“海内存世，黄书第一” ！太白岩存摩崖石刻40余处，被国家文物局列为中国名胜。

　　太白岩风景绝佳，草木之秀，林泉之胜，莫与争长。登临山顶，既可发思古之幽情，抒奋发之壮志，又可览万州之全景，赏江山之秀美。
