擎天柱位于黑龙潭以下，海拔1500米。在一平整的坡面上突起一石，直插云端，犹如撑天巨柱，故名“擎天柱”。行至右下，似有倾倒之势，巨柱背阴面，青树翠蔓，蒙络摇缀，参差披拂。
