How to address personal hygiene issues during outdoor camping
For wilderness camping, a sanitation tent is absolutely essential. The sanitation tent should be set up in the downwind direction, slightly lower than the main campsite, and away from the river. It’s best to dig a pit about half a meter deep, fill it with some stones and leaves (to reduce odor). Prepare some sand and a shovel inside the toilet area to help bury waste afterward and maintain hygiene.
