Genghis Khan's Horse-Tethering Stake

Genghis Khan's Horse-Tethering Stake is located on the western shore of Hulun Lake, 38 kilometers northeast of Ar Town and 88 kilometers from Manzhouli City. It is a steep cliff surrounded by water on three sides. To the south lies a stretch of blue lake water, with rugged, smooth cliffs as if carved by a knife; the north and east sides are steep slopes that descend to a bay of the lake; only the western side is a gentle slope connected to the lakeshore. At the top of the hill stands a pavilion, and about 10 meters east of the cliff in the lake, there is a pillar-like stone that juts out abruptly, standing around 10 meters tall with a circumference of over 20 meters. The stone is irregular in shape, tapering towards the top and thicker at the base, with crisscrossing striations. Bird nests are built in the crevices, and water birds can often be seen flying out and circling above the lake.
