Oroqen Hunter Tribe

The Oroqen Hunter Tribe is located in the Oroqen Ethnic Township, about 32 kilometers northwest of Zhalantun City. Due to the tribe’s distinctive customs, the Oroqen people originally made a living through hunting and gathering. The banks of the Yalu River are teeming with wildlife, and the mountainous areas on the southern bank often see wild animals roaming. As a result, the Oroqen hunters built many log cabins and conical huts on the northern bank using birch trees as resting spots during their hunts, eventually forming what is known as the Hunter Tribe.

When visiting the Hunter Tribe, you can experience wooden houses and villas rich in Oroqen ethnic flavor. The 3,300-square-meter ethnic hotel offers over 50 various types of standard rooms and suites, providing a comfortable accommodation environment.
