Introduction: Jartai Salt Lake is one of the medium-sized inland salt lakes in China. It is located within Jartai Town, Alxa Left Banner, approximately 102 kilometers north of Bayanhot Town. "Jartai" is a Mongolian word meaning "sixty." The salt layer covers an area of 60 square kilometers, and the lake is oval in shape, with an average salt layer thickness of 3–5 meters, and the thickest part reaching nearly 6 meters. The table salt produced here is commonly known as "Ji Salt," renowned for its large grain size, low impurity content, and strong flavor. Jartai Salt Lake has been mined since the first year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1736), boasting a history of 269 years. Originally owned by the Alxa Heshuo Banner prince, it was nationalized in 1950. The Jartai Salt Lake landscape is a rare tourism resource in China. With its vast area and abundant reserves, as well as highly scenic production processes including mining, refining, and salt-making, it serves as an ideal destination for science education tourism, industrial tourism, and even salt lake bathing.

Jartai Town: Located in the northern part of our banner, Jartai Town is the second-largest town after Bayanhot. It has a total population of 14,484, including 2,881 ethnic Mongolians. The total area is 4,617 square kilometers, with 4,950 mu of cultivated land and a total livestock count of 46,533 (including 34,593 goats and 6,114 camels). The town administers 8 gachas and 10 neighborhood committees. The 8 gachas are Suletu, Bateribulage, Xiletu, Zhaosutuolegai, Hatuhuduge, Tuguri, Bayanwula, and Hatutuolegai.
