Olive Park

The park is located in Jishan Village, Dongpu Town, Tianhe District, covering an area of approximately 280,000 square meters. It is dominated by olive trees. In 1997, the construction plan for the park was completed, and an initial investment of 3 million yuan was made to begin the first phase of development. The park opened to the public in 1998. It is another natural ecological park in Tianhe District's villages and towns, following Yangtao Park. Olive trees are evergreen trees with pinnate compound leaves, small elliptical leaflets, and white flowers. In the West, their branches and leaves are used as a symbol of peace. Their fruits are oval-shaped, slightly pointed at both ends, green in color, sweet in taste, and effective for treating sore throats. The olive trees are distributed across three hills arranged in a "品" shape. The park is filled with lush, upright fruit trees, including lychee trees that are over a hundred years old. Famous preserved snacks—such as licorice olives and fragrant olives—are all derived from the fruit of the olive tree.

The pavilions in the park are uniquely arranged, complementing the greenery and exuding a rustic charm. The looping paths and stair-like roads crisscross naturally. There is also a mountain spring in the park, known as Jishan Spring, which has flowed continuously for hundreds of years, offering clear and sweet water. The park is a great destination for agricultural sightseeing, leisure vacations, fruit tasting, and recreation.

Jishan Olive Park is located by Zhujie Highway in Zhuji Subdistrict, Tianhe District, just 3 kilometers from the Zhucun or Maogang exit of the Guangyuan Expressway. Covering a total area of 300 mu (approximately 20 hectares), the park is shaded by lush trees and boasts fresh air, making it the only olive-themed park in Tianhe District.
