University Town Wanzuotou Wetland Park

University Town Wanzuotou Wetland Park is located at the southwesternmost tip of Xiaoguwei Island. The wetland is surrounded by the Pearl River on its northern, eastern, and western sides, covering an area of over 1,000 acres. It is a rare habitat in downtown Guangzhou for a variety of waterbirds. According to monitoring data in recent years, 62 species of birds have been recorded in the area. The rich wetland ecological environment attracts various waterbirds such as rails, ducks and geese, and herons to inhabit and forage here.
