Guangzhou Yuxu Temple

Yuxu Temple is located next to the Liugeng Hall in Shawan Ancient Town. It is a temple where local Shawan residents worship the Northern Emperor. Legend has it that the statue was cast using the image of the Ming Emperor Chengzu as a model. Originally known as the He Family Shenxi Hall, it was built during the Ming Dynasty, and its renovation incorporated architectural styles from the Qing Dynasty.

The temple is adorned with many hanging incense coils, and on the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month, it attracts numerous worshippers.
