Chimelong Birds Park (formerly Guangzhou Crocodile Park)

Chimelong Birds Park is another large-scale theme park meticulously developed by Chimelong Tourism, home to tens of thousands of rare birds from different countries such as red-crowned cranes, flamingos, black swans, crowned cranes, and black-faced spoonbills. Here, you can interact closely with them, enjoy the thrilling "Hundred Birds Song" performance, and children can visit the reptile science classroom to uncover the secrets of the wetland animal kingdom.

The park is divided into nine distinct areas: Crocodile Dance, Crane Bay, Amphibian and Reptile Museum, Adventure Zone, Amazing Melon Garden, Swan Bay, Pelican Bay, Nocturnal Animal House, and Scarlet Ibis Exhibition Area.

Located on the left side of the park entrance, Crane Bay is home to various wetland birds such as red-crowned cranes, black-necked cranes, and flamingos, making it a paradise for different species of birds. Among the water plants, groups of cranes can be seen foraging by the water or playing in the streams—a truly magnificent sight.

The Scarlet Ibis Exhibition Area is located next to the pool in the rainforest square at the park entrance, where a group of "American flamingos," known as the world’s most vibrantly red-feathered birds, reside. The area also features a feeding spot where you can get up close to these birds.

Pelican Bay is the largest and most significant pelican habitat in southern China. It features a unique bird-watching boardwalk that offers visitors a brand-new perspective for bird viewing and photography. Here, you can not only observe pelicans in their most natural state but also interact with them up close, watching their impressively large bills and astonishing fishing skills.

In addition, Chimelong Birds Park is also home to tens of thousands of crocodiles. In the Crocodile Dance area, you can observe how crocodiles of different ages live and grow. The most thrilling experience is at the Crocodile Fishing Island, where you can interact with crocodiles up close—fierce crocodiles open their gaping mouths under your feet to snatch food from your fishing rod, definitely testing your courage.

Various themed areas feature exciting performances such as Crocodile Comedy, Bird Performance, Wetland Spirit Show, Canine Show, Piglet Diving, and Pelican Big Mouth Station.

It is recommended to pick up a park map upon entry and plan your route in advance according to the performance schedules in each area. The official website also provides four recommended routes: "Village Chief" Li Rui Edition, Family Edition, Couple Edition, and Friends Edition, catering to different groups and well worth referring to.
