Guantang Kanggong Ancient Temple

Guantang Kanggong Ancient Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Panyu District.

Guantang Kanggong Ancient Temple is located at No. 2 Dongzhen Road, Guantang Village, Nancun Town, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Originally built during the Song Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the 43rd year of the Kangxi reign (1704) during the Qing Dynasty and underwent multiple renovations from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican era. The temple enshrines the deity Huaguang Dadi. Its murals showcase exceptional craftsmanship, and the plaster sculptures are exquisitely detailed, making it a site of high artistic value. Seven stone steles are preserved in good condition and serve as valuable physical evidence for the study of Panyu’s religious culture.

On November 8, 2010, the Office of the People's Government of Panyu District announced Guantang Kanggong Ancient Temple as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units in Panyu District.
