Introduction: The Luan Yuan Hall Tourist Resort is situated on the southern shore of Dahekou Reservoir, about 18 kilometers east of Duolun County and close to the source of the Luan River. It is adjacent to the West Hill Bay Scenic Area, creating a mutually complementary landscape. Surrounded by mountains and water, the area features a humid climate and a delightful environment. Primarily an artificially developed grassland summer retreat, it has been designated as an AA-level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration. The resort covers a construction area of 2,000 square meters and serves as a large-scale tourist destination integrating conferences, travel, vacation, dining, rafting, fishing, horseback riding, swimming, and bathing. Its main structure is a grand complex of Mongolian-style yurts. The central yurt has a diameter of 23 meters, a height of 17 meters, and covers an area of 415 square meters, symbolizing the phrase “the sky is like a dome covering all directions,” and is acclaimed as the world’s largest yurt. The cluster of yurts is particularly spectacular against the backdrop of blue skies and clear waters. The “No. 1 Dam on the Luan River,” the main dam of Dahekou Reservoir, stands in harmony with the scenic area, and the reservoir is abundant in various types of fish.

The West Hill Bay Scenic Area is located southeast of Duolun County, nestled among high mountains, sandy land, and grasslands. The area boasts the largest hydraulic hub project on the Xilingol Grassland—the West Hill Bay Hydropower Station. With its rich and diverse natural landscapes, it is an ideal destination for summer and autumn vacations and leisure activities.

The scenic area consists of five zones: the North Shore Dock and Shaded Pavilion Area, the Peninsula Resort Area, the Sand Island Leisure Area, the Powerhouse Visiting Area, and the Primitive Elm Forest Leisure Area. Transportation: The Xilinhot Bus Terminal operates a bus to Duolun County every hour from 6:00 to 19:00, with a journey time of about three hours and a fare of 15 yuan. Within Duolun County, you can take a minivan to the resort, which takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs 6 yuan.
