Since its completion on July 20, 2005, the Duolun County Cultural Park has been a landmark structure in the county town. Located on the eastern side of the new urban area, it was built with an investment of 15 million yuan and covers an area of 101,000 square meters. The comprehensive square integrates fitness trails, children’s entertainment, a cultural corridor, musical fountains, cascading water features, an artificial lake, sunken small plazas, flower stands, green spaces, rockeries, streams, lighted basketball courts, tennis courts, and decorative colored lights. Supporting facilities nearby include a newly built two-story control room responsible for the regulation, management, and maintenance of the park’s musical fountains, sound systems, lighting, and other facilities.

The Duolun County Cultural Park enjoys a prime location, rational design, complete and comprehensive facilities, and wide-open views. To the east lies the Water Park, currently under construction, with an investment of 17.5 million yuan and covering 150,000 square meters. To the south is the Wetland Park, also under construction, with an investment of over 2 million yuan and covering 300,000 square meters. Standard residential buildings such as Yongchun Residential Area and Baoquan Residential Area are distributed to the north. To the south are star-rated hotels such as the Tourism Building and Yongchun Restaurant.

The Duolun County Cultural Park not only offers multiple cultural and recreational functions such as entertainment, leisure, fitness, and tourism, but is also an ideal venue for hosting various sports and cultural activities. Every morning and evening, accompanied by fitness music, thousands of fitness enthusiasts of all ages gather in the park to do aerobics, yangko dance, Andai dance, tai chi, swordplay, and fan dancing. Basketball courts, tennis courts, and fitness equipment areas are always bustling with energetic athletes. All of this reflects the enterprising and striving spirit of the people of Duolun. Especially in the evening, with the changing music from the fountains, the murmuring streams in the rockery, the playful kayakers on the artificial lake, the wonderful performances on the stage, and the agile figure of children roller-skating in the sunken plaza, a harmonious and beautiful scene unfolds.

Every day, over ten thousand people come to the Cultural Park for fitness and entertainment. Especially during the annual Lantern Festival temple fair, events such as lantern exhibitions, folk performances, and lantern riddle games add vibrancy. During the Grassland Tourism Festival and the June 15th Temple Fair, large-scale cultural performances, outdoor movie screenings, sports competitions, and Jin Opera shows are held. On holidays like Labor Day and National Day, activities such as tug-of-war and kite flying are organized, totaling 60 different cultural and sports events that further enrich the park. During these events, the number of people gathering in the park for fitness, watching performances, and participating reaches up to 30,000, providing citizens, visitors, and tourists with an excellent place for leisure, fitness, and tourism. These activities greatly enrich the public’s cultural life and meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people.
