Duo Lake is a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.

The Duo Lake Scenic Area is located on the southwestern bank of the Shangdu River in Duolun County, Xilin Gol League. It has been approved as a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction by the China National Tourism Administration. The area boasts unique tourism resources unmatched anywhere else in the region. In recent years, the Duo Lake Cycling Road Race has become a major tourism brand, providing solid prerequisites for establishing it as a 4A-level scenic destination. Since its development, Duo Lake has consistently emphasized ecological conservation while continuously launching high-quality tourism routes and distinctive agritourism and fruit-picking experiences. Especially after 2010, there has been a sharp increase in visitors to Duolun County for mountain and water sightseeing, fishing, sand sliding, and enjoying the ecological beauty. Covering a total area of 2.2 square kilometers, Duo Lake is abundant in springs and known for its excellent water quality and reputation for producing carp. Legend has it that there were originally no carp in Duo Lake. After fishing at Dali Lake, Emperor Kangxi visited Duo Lake and, seeing the vast waters devoid of fish, ordered dozens of carp to be transported from the Yellow River by camel and released into the lake. To this day, locals still refer to Duo Lake as "Carp Pond." The descendants of those dozen or so carp, originally brought over in cowhide bags, have thrived and multiplied, becoming an inexhaustible treasure for the local people.
