The Heishan Terraces in Guangdong are located in Heishan Village, Taibao Town, Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province. Numerous peaks are arrayed like formations, presenting a highly distinctive landscape.

The Heishan Terraces are nestled under the shadow of Mount Dawu and Bai Mian Peak. The larger terraced fields include Heishantou Terraces (Ling’erzhai), Xintiantou Terraces (Jinji Zui), Shantang Terraces, and Wudichong Terraces, covering a total area of 1,000 mu. Local farmers grow one rice crop per year. The annual plowing begins on the third lunar month, with the local Plowing Festival held on the third day of the third lunar month. Rice transplanting takes place around the Dragon Boat Festival. During this period, the terraces shimmer like ink-wash paintings. From Mid-Autumn to National Day, the rice ripens, and the layered terraces ripple with golden waves.
