The Five-Star Tourist Resort was formerly known as the Five-Star Reservoir and Xiaoqinggou. It is located 7 kilometers southeast of Kulun Town, with the national-level Daginggou Nature Reserve to its east and the "800-li Desert" Tamin Chagan Desert to its north. The Ku-Chang (Changwu) Highway runs through the area, giving the resort a prime location and convenient transportation. The resort features lush greenery and picturesque landscapes, resembling a Jiangnan scene in the frontier. With 2,700 mu of water surface and abundant water sources, it boasts numerous bays and islands, functioning as a medium-sized reservoir with comprehensive uses such as flood control, irrigation, fish farming, and tourism. Xiaoqinggou is situated along the southern edge of the Five-Star Reservoir and gets its name from the dense primeval forests within the area. The gully is shaded by trees, rich in vegetation, and crisscrossed by murmuring streams and secluded trails. Above the gully lies a mountain called "Woniu Mountain," named for its resemblance to a resting ox. Opposite Woniu Mountain is "Wutou Mountain." Many beautiful folk tales surround Woniu Mountain and Wutou Mountain, which local farmers enjoy recounting with great enthusiasm and amusement. The village has a three-story comprehensive building covering an area of 800 square meters, integrating dining, entertainment, accommodation, and small-scale conference hosting. The decor is stylish, and the cuisine is diverse, offering visitors a chance to experience unique local customs, traditions, and culture. As the development of the Five-Star Tourist Resort is still in its early stages, water recreation activities currently include only basic options such as swimming, fishing, and boating. Other facilities such as Mongolian yurts, a children’s playground, a bath center, and a parking lot are under detailed planning and construction. Once completed, this tourist resort will undoubtedly become a premier leisure and entertainment destination in Kulun Banner and another highlight in the development of scenic areas in the region.

Kulun Town: Kulun Town is the county seat of Kulun Banner and serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire banner. It is located 147 kilometers southwest of Tongliao. To the southeast and south, it borders Sibaozi Township of Zhangwu County in Liaoning Province and Ping’andi Township of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County across the Houhen River, while to the southwest, west, north, and east, it connects with Baiyinhua Town, Liujiazi Town, Eleshun Town, and Horqin Left Rear Banner.
