Chashanzhang

Located in the northern part of Luhe County, on the eastern side of the upper reaches of the Luo River, and aligned alongside the protruding peaks of Niutou and Mamen, Chashanzhang extends eastward into the territory of Jiexi County. It is said to be named for its abundant production of mountain tea leaves. The mountain is mostly composed of sandstone and shale, with its main peak standing at 868 meters above sea level. Oriented from east to west, it takes the shape of a “hat screen,” with the western slope being relatively steep. The surface layer consists of white sandy soil, and the vegetation is lush and green, covering a forest area of 14,000 mu, most of which consists of pine trees and newly planted charcoal forests, along with small amounts of moso bamboo. The area contains rich mineral resources such as titanium ore, iron ore, crystal stones, and potassium feldspar. Transportation is inconvenient.
