Purple Dragon Cave

Purple Dragon Cave is located in the Luojingzhang Mountain Range, east of Jiandemen Administrative District in Luhe, adjacent to Shizizhang in Da'an Town to the west, and bordering the junction of Maihu Administrative District and the Wuluan Mountain area of Shanghu Administrative District in Baowan Town, Lufeng to the south.

The landscape of Purple Dragon Cave is shaped by unique natural landforms. Rolling peaks frame a deep valley through which a stream winds around Wuluan Mountain from east to west, curving nine times. The emerald stream glows under the sunlight, vividly reflecting the image of a “giant purple dragon” coiled around Wuluan Mountain. At the stream’s outlet, there is a two-tiered rock formation resembling the dragon’s head, with a two-tiered waterfall that sprays several feet out, mimicking the “dragon spitting water”—a lifelike sight that takes your breath away. In addition to the Purple Dragon Cave itself, other attractions include “Purple Dragon Combing Its Tail,” “Drunken Immortal Lying on the Mountain,” “Seven-Star Rock,” and “Monkey Gazing Through the Window.” There is also an ancient, serene temple, “Yu Shan Hermitage,” adding charm to the colorful mountain scenery. This is a scenic spot where visitors can view the “purple dragon” at Purple Dragon Cave.
