Zhongzheng Building

Zhongzheng Building is located in Chilitang Natural Village, Xinliang Village Committee, Luoxi Town, Luhe County. Built in 1905, it faces south and has a “three-story upper, three-story lower, one wing room plus an outer wing room” layout, with stone foundations and mud-brick walls. The building consists of over 30 rooms, with a total width of 19.2 meters, a total depth of 14.7 meters, and covers an area of 282.2 square meters. It is a relatively well-preserved traditional residential complex combining halls and rooms from the late Qing Dynasty. A mountain ridge winds down from the northwest all the way to behind the building, resembling a centipede descending a mountain. In addition, many smaller ridges extend downward on either side of the main ridge, like the legs of a centipede, which is why the site’s feng shui was historically referred to as “a centipede spitting out a pearl.”
